Welcome to the Laboratory of Algal Biology and Biotechnology (LABB). Our research aims to understand lipid synthesis, turnover, and lipid body biogenesis in microalgae, to rationally engineer algae for production of biofuels and high-value products used in aquaculture and nutraceutical industry, and to biochemically convert algae feedstock into biofuels.
